Safe and Healthy learning environment for all children
The pre-k three classroom is a very busy place with lots of social interaction. Learning is happening through play and in whole group and small group instruction.
While threes may be learning about the alphabet and numbers, priority will always remain on social and emotional development, gross and fine motor skills and building on the ability to remain on task for 8-10 minutes at a time.
Learning to share, get along, listen to others when they are speaking and following directions are very important in the social setting. We are learning all of these skills in pre-k three.
The three year old is still in some aspects of parallel play, but can also join in group play and ask others to join in. Threes love to share stories with their classmates and will do so with vigor and enthusiasm.
